Hi everyone ! I’m pleased to share this update – Flap Jacked comes to Miami! Give it a try instead of your regular pancake mix. When I originally wrote about Flap Jacked Protein Pancake Mix, it wasn’t available in Miami. Well, yesterday when I was running my errands, one of my stops was to the Vitamin Shoppe. Low and behold, they do have Flap Jacked Protein Pancake Mix in the stores!! YEAH!! It’s available in a 24 oz size package and costs $12.99. I originally bought a 12 oz. package of Flap Jacked at Shop-Rite in New Jersey. Since Flap Jacked is new to the Miami market, I am sure as people start to discover it and see how fantastic it really is, the 12 oz. size package will soon become available in the supermarkets. This mix does come in other flavors, but I used the buttermilk flavor as I think it will be more versatile to incorporate into other recipes, so that’s why I chose it over the other flavors. This mix provides you with 20 grams of protein in one serving! Regular pancake mix has more carbohydrates than protein; unless you add eggs to the mix. Even in adding eggs, you will not reach 20 grams of protein! I have created some awesome muffins with this mix and will upload the recipe for you.
Also, while in The Vitamin Shoppe, I noticed they also had a nice selection of the Mighty Muffins.
There are 6 flavors to choose from and all were available in the store. So far, I’ve tried every flavor and my favorite is the chocolate!
